But I don’t want to get up mum!
Teenagers and sleep – a big cause of screaming stand-offs world wide.
Why do all teenagers want to sleep in and think its ok to get up at 11am?
Well when you are if a teenager much of it is out of your control.
For a period of time in your late teen to early 20s, the body’s natural 24 hour body clock (AKA the circadian rhythm) is a little longer than the standard 24 hours. In most teenagers their cycle is set at 25-26 hours and hence why they want to stay up late and sleep in longer.
Most out grow it by age 22.
