Five seed cracker slice

I love this five seed cracker slice as you can super charge the ingredients to help heal yourself.

I have adapted this from this website, although the principles of making a seed slice are very similar.

High in protein, high in omega 3s and fine with carbohydrates.

Soak seeds, dry roast, store in an air tight container.

Ingredients:

1/2 flaxseeds

1 cup sunflower seeds

1/2 cup pepitas

1/2 chia seeds

1/2 cup sesame seeds

Method

Mix all these ingredients with 1 1/2 cup filtered water, with 2 tsp of sea salt. Let this sit for 15 minutes.

Once this mix has absorbed the water, spread on top of baking paper on baking dishes.

You can roll this out, or press out with your fingers. Aim to have it about 3mm thick. Any thicker, than it may not cook properly.

Once rolled out, I sprinkle with herbs, such as chilli, paprika, thyme or rosemary.

Bake it for an hour in a moderate over – about 170 degrees.

Once it is baked, you can break it up easily enough, then store in a air tight container.

These are perfect with dips, snacks or on their own.

Enjoy!

PS If you suffer with diverticulitis, be cautious with seeds.
