The 12 Healthy Days of Christmas day 5 – Hugging

HUG More

Owww even writing this makes me feel gooey, loved and hugged.

Hugging and physical contact releases our love and bonding hormone oxytocin.

This fabulous hormones lowers our stress levels (have you ever tried to be in-love and stressed at the same time? It is impossible).

When stress hormones are elevated it leads to burn out long term but day to day lead to weight gain, exhaustion, altered sleep, belly fat , poor skin and stop women falling pregnant.

By lowering stress hormones such as testosterone, cortisol and adrenaline, your body gets a break.

Increase your oxytocin today by giving a hug (or many).

And if you can’t find someone to hug, wrap your arms around yourself and give yourself a squeeze.

Sharing time of year? Yes absolutely. Share the post below with your friends and give them a cyber hug x
